ΤΡΥΓΗΝΟΥ: Μερικές πηγές για τον Πατριάρχη Δοσίθεο

Ο Δοσίθεος Σκαρπέτης εννήθηκε στα Σκαρπετιάνικα της Αράχωβας στις 31 Μαίου 1641. Χειροτονήθηκε Διάκονος το 1652 στο Μοναστήρι των Αγίων Αποστόλων κοντά στην Αράχωβα, και Αρχιδιάκονος στα Ιεροσόλυμα το 1661. Έγινε μετά Αρχιεπίσκοπος στην Καισαρεία Παλεστίνης (Horbat Qesari, Israel) το 1666 και Πατριάρχης των Ιεροσολύμων το 1669. Πέθανε στην Κωνσταντινούπολη στις 8 Φεβρουαρίου 1707.
